DR ASHLEY DEANS is Director of the award-winning Maharishi School in Iowa, USA.
The school has an open enrolment policy, yet Upper School grades regularly score in the top 1% nationally on standardized tests and where 95% of school leavers go on to university and four-year college courses. The school has won state, national and international awards for creativity, sport, science and innovation. Dr Deans has helped to implement Consciousness-Based Education in schools worldwide for 20 years.



DEREK CASSELLS is the Head Teacher of the award-winning Maharishi School in Lancashire, which also implements a Consciousness-Based Education approach at the primary and secondary levels. For the last 20 years the school has achieved outstanding results.
In 2007, 100% of the pupils at the Maharishi School gained GCSE passes at grade C or above, compared with a national average of 63%. Approximately 66% of the passes were at the highest grades of A or A* -- over three times the national figure of 19.5%. This is despite the fact that the school is non-selective.
